More of the CG&E Line

Here are a couple more cards from the CG&E Line. I am disappointed with the way my photos are coming out. Colours are off, and they just do not do them justice. Anyway, these ones are simple and cute.

Enjoy =)

Butterfly Mother's Day
(the backdrop was BLACK ... card is fuschia and white ... stupid camera ...)

Diamonds and Dashes for Dad

Not sure if these were even worth posting ... such lousy quality!
Sorry!

AA Challenge #2

Our 2nd Challenge was to create a card (for any occassion) that had a different type of fold than a basic card. I had come across "exploding box" cards online and had been wanting to give them a try. I used this challenge as an opportunity to give it a go! Mine isn't too elaborate but you get the idea. It was very simple to do, and only time consuming because I couldn't think of how I wanted to fill the spaces. This one is meant to look like a plain parcel on the ouside, because the recipient is a UPS Delivery Man.

Ready for gifting.

Twine untied and being opened.

*EXPLOSION*
(box/card falls open)

The "just for you" pocket is the perfect size
for a gift card. (My oldest son still has to sign the card!)

Some glittery chipboard accents and stamps.

Last view.

I hope you like it!
I am happy with it for my first attempt, and no instructions.
(I used my own measurements and methods).
Please leave a comment!

Have a GREAT weekend!! =)

CG&E Line

I have again teamed up with Scrap Booker Ash and we have decided to come up with a large assortment of cards that we could sell at a local craft show. For this craft show, we are expected to have a business name, and so we decided to call our card line "Charmed Greetings & Embellishments" or "CG&E". We are working hard to create a large variety of cute, professional, hand-made cards and we look forward to sharing them with you.

I will post my creations here on my blog, but be sure to check out Ash's blog for the other half of our line! Please let us know what you think!

Thanks =)

My First "AA Challenge" Submission

So I completed the first challenge. I found it tricky to follow a colour scheme that I had few options of paper for. This is what I came up with. It's OK I guess, but I wish maybe the patterned paper matched the boldness of the other coloured paper a bit better. The brown paper and brown ribbon matched much better in person. My camera doesn't do well without natural light. Hope you like it. Looking forward to our next challenge!! =)

Our First "Challenge"

I have teamed up with Scrap Booker Ash and we have decided to create a challenge to hopefully inspire each other and get those creative wheels turning!
We've called it our "AA Challenge" (for Ashley & Abby, of course ...) and we would love for anyone interested in participating, to share your creation with us!! Just comment on THIS post with a link to your blog and we'll go have a look =)

The Challenge is to make a Valentines day CARD for your Significant other or someone special to you, using the colours Red, Blue, & Brown.

I hope you join us in our first challenge, and look forward to seeing what you come up with!!

Welcome to My Blog!

Now that I have gotten so "into" scrapbooking and card making, I have been encouraged to start my own blog to share my creations with others, and to hopefully meet a lot of others who are as crazy for this craft as I am, thanks to Scrap Booker Ash who I met last night while waiting for a live stream to be aired by My Pink Stamper, a personal FAVE of mine whom I also just recently discovered. Anyway, I will keep this one short, as I am just learning how to do this.
Have a SUPER day =)
